We haven't gotten to show any updates on the house/our lives in a while, so here is a glimpse of how things are looking.
I put this little medley of images together to show you some of my favorite things in the house!
We have almost finished the bedroom. The walls are painted, the wainscoting is up, the floors are done...only a few touches left before we can move on. The room is warm and inviting and the odd light it gets during the day makes it even more comfy. I finally purchased the clear base bed-side lamps I have wanted forever, and I want to screen print something on the shades as soon as I think of what. We haven't really hung anything up in any room yet, except for where there are some preexisting nails in the wall. Above our bed I hung one of my favorite paintings by an amazing artist and great Matthew Pasquarello.
The necklace above is one of my most treasured possessions. I have it in white (shown) and also a larger pendant with the same swift in a pale blue. Both pieces were made by Adorn Jewelry found on Etsy and I am lucky that I don't have a lot of cash, because I could buy EVERY THING in her store! I sometimes think she is making jewelry just for me!
The living room is now home of a couch that we purchased at Raymour and Flanagan. I wanted something that was big, comfortable and had clean lines. It is actually a design by Cindy Crawford! Couldn't believe it when I saw the tag, but dang Cindy...good job! The pillows are a combination of ones I made (the dots) and purchases found all under $10 a pillow at Ross!
The vintage lamps I absolutely adore! The brown and teak vintage was found here in Philly at a small Thrift shop for $20.00, and I won the green and dark olive one on Ebay for $12.00! All I need now is a shade for the green lamp and a cute table to put it on! I have been searching for weeks for the perfect coffee table, but I still haven't had any luck. =( I shall prevail!
Lastly,
We now are Kitty parents! Stevsie and Pecan Sandwiches are loving their new home, and making us insane.
I hope this gives you a little peek into our world, and I hope we finish more projects just as soon so we have more to show off! It is taking a while, but I just want it done perfectly!
Thanks for stopping by!
