Ah yes, the Doodle-off. A few years ago, when I was unemployed and shoeless, I would meet Peter and Kevin and draw the wee days away. On occasion we would stumble upon something that they couldn't draw so well. Often we would come across something I couldn't draw at all. Thus was born the Doodle-off (or Draw-off)! We would each draw the same item/animal/thing from memory and see who could best put it on paper. We would also rope in anyone else who was around us to participate. The more the merrier!
I believe the first Doodle-off was a car (as seen here). Having a tendency to well, draw poorly, I would add some people to the subject to liven it up a bit. As we continued doodling-off these people worked themselves into more and more drawings and they took on the personality of an old married couple that bickered over everything. Often over a maps directions. Soon the Doodle-off was just a vehicle to fit this couple into whatever we were drawing. We eventually had a Doodle-off just for them. This included naming them too. Mine were Morris and Luann Henderman. Kevin's were Zelda and Hershel Dudlehoff (he thinks he's real clever). I don't remember what Peter called his couple. Maybe it was Drawoffavich?
For further elaboration on Doodle-offs see Kevins recent article here.
The Walrus Off:
The Pirate Off:
The Turtle Off is perhaps one of my favorites. We seem to have produced a sort of narrative as each person drew their respective turtle:
The Tractor Off:
Even though the Sutter Off was only 2 people, I thought I should include it for the sake of archiving (and because Zelda/Luann is naked. Very naked.)
Elephant Off:

Wicked good! All of them!

Niff-I really like your pirate, it's not too often you get to see one with two peg legs! (or get a chance to use to, too, and two all in one sentence...)

Garren: haha, that is actually his belt hanging down, the rest of his body is cut off by the edge of the paper, but heck- I wish I would have been that clever!!! dang it! I shouldn't have said anything!
those were the days! sigh.

Ha. These are great.
Are you sure the Turtle-off wasn't a Tortoise-off? Because you all drew tortoises.

Haha - the Elephant ate Zelda!

Pierce: Hah, I guess we all failed the Turtle Off then. Turtles are the amphibians with the shells on the INside of their body, right? :)

These are great! And Sutter, your drawrings always remind me of the ones by Quentin Blake that accompany Roald Dahl's stories.

I would be honored to illustrate one of Ronald Dahl's books. I think he's dead though...

lol at Sutter-off. Now my co-workers must think I'm totally off my rocker as chuckling sounds come out of my cubicle.
