Kurt Vonnegut Jr. 1922-2007
Kurt Vonnegut Jr. died at the age of 84 on Wednesday. He was an amazing and inspiring writer and he will be sorely missed. This crudely composed, blind contour tribute doesn't do him justice. (Would it do anyone justice? I don't know.)
"I, mud, sat up and saw what a nice job God had done."
"Nice going, God!"
"Nobody but You could have done it, God! I certainly couldn't have."
"I feel very unimportant compared to You."
"The only way I can feel the least bit important is to think of all the mud that didn't even get to sit up and look around."
– Bokonon

These are perfect tributes, you two. I read every single word of his I could find when I was in college. I'm going to find Slaughterhouse Five again and reread it.
Hope you are well--I miss you!
