SO, I totally stumbled upon this little bit of genius (okay, I don't know about genius, but it's okay). This is another fowl sketch for my February Print, and I actually did 2 , but I liked this little guy so much that I thought he should have the spotlight. I was playing around with the image, and I realized that his fat little body was almost heart shaped, and I wanted to do a heart somehow with out, well..really doing one. I would definitely bring out the background bird a bit more, and have other design elements in there, but it may be a good starting off point.
Trying to stay creative and original when it comes to February is very challenging. I am not sure how much I like the idea, so I will finish up the last of my birds, and then see where it takes me. This may be the answer I have been looking for though. What do you think? -Niff

This will be great, Niff! Can't WAIT to see the final image. But you're making me wait, aren't you?

I'd say you're on the right track. The first impression of absolute realism, and then seeing the arabesque of the little claws--that's pure Niff.

I love the ghost image and how you capture the birdy nature.

Yes! (dances up and down) - also if you did this with a big black goth bird it would look totally skull and crossbone :) Arrr.

Is "eah" what you youngsters say these days?

I like how seemingly one ppicture of a bird became a whole flock in a minute of looking at the image. Keep it up Niff - it's definitely worth it :)

as Wally says, the Niff touches are what makes it especially wonderful

Wally, Cin: That is a really wonderful compliment, knowing that a "niff" touch makes it wonderful. **blush**
Everyone else: I hope that this turns out well, fingers crossed!
